2015 is yet to end. As at this morning some states
only started casting their votes. Aspirants and
governors gave speeches all through the night and it
looks like we will not know the party's candidate until afternoon. But from the look of things, more
delegates are behind Buhari as a stampede almost
occurred when he was about mounting the podium
to give his speech as most of them wanted to
accompany him. Most candidates have started giving
up from their looks, but Atiku seems to keep his hope high. Let's keep our fingers crossed till the elections

Muhammadu Buhari Wins APC Primary Election

General Muhammadu Buhari has won APC's
presidential primaries which started yesterday at
Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos and ended
few minutes ago. Buhari defeated four other
aspirants to win the ticket by polling 3,430 votes
while former vice president, Atiku Abubakar scored 954 votes. Governor Rabi'u Kwankwaso of Kano
State got 974 votes, Governor Rochas Okorocha
scored 624 votes and the Publisher of Leadership
Newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, got 10 votes. Sixteen votes were considered invalid and were
therefore voided. Buhari, 72, was Nigeria's military
leader between December 31, 1983 and August 27,
1985.

Aljazeera Journalist Got Killed in Syria

Al Jazeera Media Network has sadly announced the
death of its Arabic correspondent in Syria, Mahran Al
Deeri, who died on Wednesday, 10 December 2014,
while covering battles in the city of Al Sheikh Maskin
in rural Daraa. According to his family members, Mahran was killed
while taking cover from regime fire as his car hit the
vehicle of rebel fighters when he turned off his
headlights to avoid being targeted. This is the same
area where three other journalists from the Orient
Network were targeted and killed three days ago, they noted.

Sudan Deports 26 Nigerians Over Ebola Contraction

The Sudanese authorities have denied 26 Nigerians
entry into their country over suspicion that they
were possibly infected by the dreaded Ebola Virus
Disease, one of those repatriated has told Premium
Times. Hauwa'u Ibrahim Bakori, a second year
student of Pharmacy at Al Ahfad University for Women, Omdurman, said she and 25 others were
denied entry after arriving Khartoum Airport
yesterday. They were detained, and then deported to
Nigeria today, Ms. Bakori said. Ms Bakori revealed she had earlier travelled to
Nigeria for holidays, before returning yesterday. The Nigerians travelled to Khartoum via an Ethiopian
Airline flight ET 910 from Abuja, travelling via Addis
Ababa. But on arrival in Khartoum, authorities seized
their passports, and arranged boarding passes for
them to return to Nigeria. They were not tested for
Ebola, Ms. Bakori said.
