Sacked Umar Ready To Testify Against Adamawa Governor Over N580m Vehicles Purchased
Bureau, Abba Umar, has said he is ready to testify against Governor
James Ngilari, who sacked him, arrested and detained him for doing his
job by questioning how the funds for some projects were utilised. While
speaking with journalists over the phone, Umar said he is ready to
testify against his administration;
“I am ready to testify before EFCC if called to do so on the government
contracts awarded in contravention of public procurement law and how
I queried such contracts leading to my sack, arrest and detention on
the orders of the government for doing my job,” he said.
Female Bank Worker On Trial For Stealing N241m
remand of a female member of staff of Diamond Bank Plc, Eniola
Morondiya, who allegedly aided some fraudsters to process N241m
said to be proceeds of a criminal act.
Morondiya, a teller on contract employment with Diamond Bank, was
remanded along with the four alleged fraudsters, Suleiman Mohammed,
Ibrahim Danazumi, Roland Aroko and Francis Akpabio, all males.
The remand of the five accused persons followed their arraignment on
four counts of conspiracy and money laundering before Justice Okon
Abang.
