17 year old transgender teen Leelah (Josh) Alcorn
committed suicide on Sunday Dec. 28th by walking in
front of a tractor trailer on a highway in Ohio. A few
hours later, her suicide note, which she posted on her
Tumblr page through scheduled publishing, went up.
In the heartbreaking suicide note, she blamed her death on her religious parents who she said refused
to acknowledge her gender and forbade her from
transitioning into a girl. Read her suicide note below... If you are reading this, it means that I have
committed suicide and obviously failed to delete
this post from my queue. Please don't be sad, it's for the better. The
life I would've lived isn't worth living in…
because I'm transgender. I could go into detail
explaining why I feel that way, but this note is
probably going to be lengthy enough as it is. To put it simply, I feel like a girl trapped in a boy's
body, and I've felt that way ever since I was 4. I
never knew there was a word for that feeling, nor
was it possible for a boy to become a girl, so I never
told anyone and I just continued to do traditionally
"boyish" things to try to fit in. When I was 14, I learned what transgender meant
and cried of happiness. After 10 years of confusion I
finally understood who I was. I immediately told my
mom, and she reacted extremely negatively, telling
me that it was a phase, that I would never truly be a
girl, that God doesn't make mistakes, that I am wrong. If you are reading this, parents, please don't
tell this to your kids. Even if you are Christian or are
against transgender people don't ever say that to
someone, especially your kid. That won't do
anything but make them hate them self. That's
exactly what it did to me. My mom started taking me to a therapist, but would
only take me to christian therapists, (who were all
very biased) so I never actually got the therapy I
needed to cure me of my depression. I only got more
christians telling me that I was selfish and wrong and
that I should look to God for help. When I was 16 I realized that my parents would
never come around, and that I would have to wait
until I was 18 to start any sort of transitioning
treatment, which absolutely broke my heart. The
longer you wait, the harder it is to transition. I felt
hopeless, that I was just going to look like a man in drag for the rest of my life. On my 16th birthday,
when I didn't receive consent from my parents to
start transitioning, I cried myself to sleep. I formed a sort of a "f*** you" attitude towards
my parents and came out as gay at school, thinking
that maybe if I eased into coming out as trans it
would be less of a shock. Although the reaction from
my friends was positive, my parents were pissed.
They felt like I was attacking their image, and that I was an embarrassment to them. They wanted me to
be their perfect little straight christian boy, and
that's obviously not what I wanted. So they took me out of public school, took away my
laptop and phone, and forbid me of getting on any
sort of social media, completely isolating me from my
friends. This was probably the part of my life when I
was the most depressed, and I'm surprised I
didn't kill myself. I was completely alone for 5 months. No friends, no support, no love. Just my
parent's disappointment and the cruelty of
loneliness. At the end of the school year, my parents finally
came around and gave me my phone and let me
back on social media. I was excited, I finally had my
friends back. They were extremely excited to see me
and talk to me, but only at first. Eventually they
realized they didn't actually give a s**t about me, and I felt even lonelier than I did before. The only
friends I thought I had only liked me because they
saw me five times a week. After a summer of having almost no friends plus the
weight of having to think about college, save money
for moving out, keep my grades up, go to church
each week and feel like s**t because everyone there
is against everything I live for, I have decided I've
had enough. I'm never going to transition successfully, even when I move out. I'm never
going to be happy with the way I look or sound. I'm
never going to have enough friends to satisfy me.
I'm never going to have enough love to satisfy me.
I'm never going to find a man who loves me. I'm
never going to be happy. Either I live the rest of my life as a lonely man who wishes he were a woman or
I live my life as a lonelier woman who hates herself.
There's no winning. There's no way out. I'm sad
enough already, I don't need my life to get any
worse. People say "it gets better" but that isn't
true in my case. It gets worse. Each day I get worse. That's the gist of it, that's why I feel like killing
myself. Sorry if that's not a good enough reason for
you, it's good enough for me. As for my will, I want
100% of the things that I legally own to be sold and
the money (plus my money in the bank) to be given
to trans civil rights movements and support groups, I don't give a s**t which one. The only way I will rest
in peace is if one day transgender people aren't
treated the way I was, they're treated like humans,
with valid feelings and human rights. Gender needs to
be taught about in schools, the earlier the better. My
death needs to mean something. My death needs to be counted in the number of transgender people who
commit suicide this year. I want someone to look at
that number and say "that's f***ed up" and fix it.
Fix society. Please.

Khloe Kardasian.... I Would Still Divorce.... Lamar Odom..... If I Could Find Him...
Khloe Kardashian isn't bailing on her divorce -- she
fully intends to follow through one year after filing --
the problem is she can't schedule a sit down
with Lamar Odom.Sources close to the Kardashian's
tell us Khloe has been unable to meet with her
estranged husband to finalize terms of the divorce with their lawyers ... despite numerous
attempts.We're told the ex-basketball star isn't
responding to calls from Khloe or her attorney -- and
he's very rarely popped up in public. Certainly not
long enough to make things official. Our camera guys
spotted LO 3 weeks ago ... and he seemed more than fine leaving the divorce/marriage in
limbo.Remember, Lamar once said he wasn't
convinced Khloe would see the divorce
through. However, KK definitely wants to cut the cord
for good. We're told her best case scenario is meeting
Lamar to settle up -- but worst case ... she will file a default judgment if he doesn't respond soon.

Buhari Fails To Submit Academic Qualification To INEC
Presidential candidate of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, did not
present his academic qualifications to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,
even as he prepares for the 2015 presidential
contest. Unlike his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
counterpart, President Goodluck Jonathan, whose
academic certificates were conspicuously displayed
by the commission upon presentation, Buhari's
credentials were visibly without trace at the
commission's office at Area 10, Abuja. The former Head of State, explained in an affidavit he
deposed, which he submitted to the commission that
all his academic credentials were with the Secretary,
Military Board. The affidavit deposed at the Federal Capital Territory,
FCT, High Court, Abuja and dated November 24,2014,
was stamped and received at INEC headquarters on
December 18, 2014. In the affidavit, Buhari said: "All my academic
qualifications (documents) as filled in my presidential
form, President APC/001/2015, are currently with
the Secretary Military Boards as at the time of this
affidavit." He added: "The affidavit is made in good faith and
for record purpose."

was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through.

contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I
wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a
child.' On being too sexy in videos and on stage… "With a video like 'Anaconda,' I'm a grown-
ass fucking woman!" she says. "I stand for girls

Shake it! Who cares? That doesn't mean you
shouldn't be graduating from college."

Muhammadu Buhari Has A Health Problem But Could Likely Last More Than A Year
A source, knowledgeable of happenings within the
corridors of power, Aso Rock, has said there is a
security report concerning the health of Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari, the APC presidential standard
bearer.
The source told Daily post that the 72 year-old former Head of State may not live more than a year or two if
he assumes office as Nigeria's President in 2015. "Many people think the presidency or the PDP is
trying to portray Buhari in a bad light or declare him
unfit for the nation's topmost job but the information I
am giving you is authentic," he assured. Asked to provide specifics of the content of the
security report to back up his claim, the source said:
"A part of it goes thus: "Should Buhari win, he may
not be able to complete a single four-year tenure due
to his health condition as he continues to manage his
health secretly." "Let me ask you these questions: Why do you think
Tinubu was ready to risk a Muslim/Muslim ticket?
Why do you think he presented himself at the
eleventh hour when talks were on to pick Buhari's
running mate? When he failed in his quest, why do
you think he picked his associate of 20 years? "The truth is that Tinubu and his cohorts knows the
demands of office will tell on Buhari and same will
either kill him or weigh him down excessively," the
source added. North not backing Buhari
The source further told Daily Post that powers that be
in the North are not comfortable with the choice of
Buhari.
"Look, many eminent personalities in the North are
not supporting Buhari's candidature because they also know this fact that I am saying," he said.
"They are aware that Buhari may not see 2019, so
they don't want to gamble. We all know there exists
a Northern cabal and these guys will rather wait for
President Jonathan to complete his eight years and
hand over to them. They want eight years too! "So they have agreed not to throw their weight
behind Buhari, who may not even see four years
through. The North do not want a repetition of the
Yar'adua saga; there are being very careful.
"This is because if anything happens to Buhari, power
will return to the South; South-West for that matter and this may happen less than a decade after Baba
Obasanjo left Aso Rock.
"Not just that, power will effectively be in the hands
of the rogue called Bola Tinubu because Osinbajo is
his confirmed stooge. Can you now see all these
indices? Now, who in his or her right senses would believe that the North are backing Buhari. Certainly,
not the North I know." The Obasanjo angle
Daily Post also gathered that former President
Olusegun Obasanjo is in the know of the permutation
being worked out by Tinubu.
"Some Nigerians are so gullible," our source said.
"What do you think Tinubu was going to do in Obasanjo's house in Ota? To eat eba and vegetable
soup," he quipped rhetorically.
"He was part of the grand plan for Buhari to win APC
presidential primary because they know he won't
last. He is on a mission, alongside the APC, to retain
power in the South. "They are planning to short-change the North again
and the Arewa hierarchy have uncovered the plot.
Like I said before, many prominent Northern leaders
have taken a decision not to endorse the Buhari's
and an APC presidency because they also have
access to the security report on his health." "Obasanjo is aware of the document; Tinubu too. So
they know very well what they are doing." The APC South-East spokesman, Osita Okechukwu,
has however dismissed the claim on Buhari's health
as false and a way to cause doubts about the APC
presidential candidate. He said: "it's not up to a month that we (APC) held a
rally at the Eagle Square. From there, we walked to
Transcorp Hilton then to Police Headquarters and
back to Eagle Square. While some of were panting,
Gen. Buhari surprisingly did not. In fact, he walked
faster than most of us. "They are only trying to dig up what is non-existent;
no record of their claim. The General has his doctor
and anyone can contact him rather than speculate.
"Some of us have been with him since 2002 and we
know he is healthy. They are bringing this up now
because they know Buhari has 60 percent chance at the polls," the spokesman said in veiled reference to
the PDP.
Continuing, Okechukwu assured that "Again, Gen.
Buhari is fit as a fiddle. Please disregard the news; it
is deceptive and meant to douse his ever-growing
profile. "They are worried he has been accepted nationwide
and even President Goodluck Jonathan, who is
Buhari's de facto campaign manager, cannot match
his popularity and wide acceptance."

Muhammadu Buhari New Year Message To The Nigerian Citizens
BUHARI MESSAGE TO NIGERIAN CITIZENS
As we welcome the year 2015, I have shared a message to Nigerians in general, but I find it crucial to send another message directly to Nigeria's youth, who are the major stakeholders of this enterprise. The year 2014 was a challenging one for most citizens of our dear country. We remember our compatriots who were brutishly killed or maimed by evil terrorists in 2014. I remember with a still broken heart that 219 of our children from Chibok are yet missing, let down by a country that should protect them. I remember that, even as I speak, some of our towns and villages are yet under the occupation of Boko Haram. Yes, it is enough for you to despair. It is enough for you to wonder if your country cares about you and can protect you. But do not despair. 2015 has arrived at a time of great discomfort; but the beauty of the New Year is that we can look forward with renewed hope and the knowledge that things can and will change. In Nigeria's case, we can truly look forward to the change that the elections can, and will, bring. Our country will be secure again. Our country will prosper
again. I have faith that 2015 is the year we shall begin to write a new story - a story of our youth creating jobs and expanding the frontiers of innovation and creativity everywhere from Mavin Records to the Co- Creation Hub; a story of genuine investment in our children and students be they in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka or in the Delta State University, Abraka; a country that finally makes a permanent shift from our debilitating dependence on the free- falling price of crude oil. I have unshakeable faith that 2015 will be the year of change. Now some of you have asked me: what exactly does 'change' mean? I have taken time to explain this at different opportunities, but on this special day, let me remind you in five short statements. Change means: A country that you can be proud of at anytime and anywhere: where corruption is tackled, where your leaders are disciplined and lead with vision and clarity; where the stories that emerge to the world from us are full of hope and progress. A Nigeria in which neither yourselves, nor your parents, families or friends will have to fear for your safety, or for theirs. A Nigeria where citizens get the basics that any country should provide: infrastructure that works, healthcare that is affordable, even free; respect for the environment and sustainable development, education that is competitive and outcome-oriented in a knowledge-economy. A country that provides jobs for its young people, reducing unemployment to the lowest of single digits and providing safety nets so that no one is left behind. A Nigeria where entrepreneurship thrives, enterprise flourishes and the government gets out of your way so that you can create value, build the economy and aggressively expand wealth.
Are these things truly possible? Of course. That is the essence and outcome of leadership, and that is what my party and I promise you as we get into 2015.
My dear friends, this New Year, more than ever before, I am hopeful about Nigeria. Yes, you are disappointed and you are angry, as you are entitled to, but you must never give in to the temptation to feel so weighed down by those who have failed you that you lose your hope and your energy and your passion to see change. You must never give up on Nigeria.
Together, we can build a nation that is secure, prosperous and gives everyone a fair chance.
This is the promise that 2015 holds. That is the promise that change will bring. That is the promise that I bring to you.
Once again, I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.
Thank you and God bless Nigeria.

A 7 Year Old Tweeny.....Talks True Facts.....About All The Highest Pastors In Nigeria.... Saying That They Will Never Make Heaven... According To Their Bad Deeds
According to NigeriaBreakingNews, Seven year old Iretioluwa is like every other children, but what
makes her different is her spiritual proclamations, which makes her an extra-human
being. When we were invited by her parents saying
"our daughter wants you". It was like a call not
too clear. But upon enquiry made by our editor, we discovered
that it was not just a call but a diving call that requires
a diving response. Ireti-Oluwa has become a friend of Jesus Christ upon
whom she resides and proclaim messages for the
world. "Most times Jesus Christ appears to her and tells her
lots of things especially hidden things which He
(Jesus) wants us to know" declares the mother. "But the most shocking of all she has been told is
about men of God whom we reverence in this
country and she told us to look for a Christian
newspaper. In fact, she wrote the name of your
magazine and we started looking for it" – the father
cuts in. We were ushered into the spacious living room of the
Ifedayos when Iretioluwa was taking her breakfast.
We waited for her to finish and we settled down for
the business of the day. Iretioluwa, a primary three pupil was so bold as she
declared what she said was told her by Jesus Christ. According to her, my Lord and saviour said i should
declare to Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian

makes her different is her spiritual proclamations, which makes her an extra-human
Church of God that he cannot make heaven. Though

Taxi Man Was Stabbed......By A Mechanic For Pinging......While Fixing Up His Car.....
For the records, never ping while driving with your
mechanic by your side.
A 34 year old Lagosian, Julius Joseph, recently got
stabbed by his mechanic, Olajide Olaniran for pinging
on the road while driving in the Ijaiye area of Lagos
State. Punch newspaper reports that Joseph was returning
from a bank in the area to withdraw money when
Olaniran, who was in a Toyota Corolla, blocked the
road and accused him of pinging and driving.
Yet Joseph who claimed he was checking an alert he
received on his phone when the incident occurred, challenged the 42-year-old mechanic for driving
against the traffic and both men alighted from their
cars.
Following an altercation between the two, Olaniyan,
allegedly used a bottle to stab Joseph after which he
made off with his (Joseph's) two phones and N5,000.
The victim reportedly slumped at the spot having lost
much blood. He was said to have been rushed to the
Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and
was later referred to the National Orthopaedic
Hospital, Igbobi for intensive care. The mechanic has since been arrested.

Justin Bieber's Private Jet.....Is A Rumour.....TMZ Talks Fact About It
Justin Bieber's membership in the private jet club has
been revoked -- his baller plane he posted on
Instagram Christmas day was all for show, but
technically ... NOT a lie.TMZ has learned the jet Bieber
posed on is a G4 -- which is for sale -- but was not
purchased by JB. Sources with direct knowledge of the aircraft tell us Justin merely chartered it for a
Christmas flight from Canada to NYC. In other words ...
just a really expensive Uber.Justin captioned the pic ...
"New jet for Christmas, and she's beautiful" --
prompting many to believe he'd just made the biggest
purchase of his life. Not so ... though it's true that it was new to him, and the 22-seat ride is undeniably
beautiful.We were always skeptical ... since Justin's
reportedly worth about $200 mil -- and a brand new G
could run up to $60 million. Even for Bieber, that
would be a huge hit.Biebs pulled this back in April too
-- posing with a Bugatti (it was Birdman's) ... and a yacht (it belonged to a FL family). The good news?
We're told the 1996 G4 is still on the market for just
under $6 mil -- if you've got it like that.

Who Wore A Santa Sweater Better: Miley Cyrus Or Rihanna
If you're going to wear a festive sweater for Christmas, you may as well play up the theme to the

Cause Of Ebola Outbreak Was 'A young Boy Playing Near Colony Of Infected Bats', Scientists Say.
Scientists said today that the cause of the deadly
Ebola virus that hit West Africa this year was a 2 year
old boy, known as patient zero, who played on a tree
near a colony of virus-infested bats in his village in
Meliandou, Guinea. He was the first person to die but
before he died, he infected other family members, who then spread it to others and the virus eventually
spread into other areas in Guinea, Sierra Leone,
Liberia, Nigeria and Senegal, before moving to the US,
UK and Spain. This Ebola outbreak is by far the largest ever-
recorded outbreak and it has killed about 7,800
people by Dec. 17, 2014, according to WHO.

Maheeda Says The Reason Why She Has Sex Four Times A Day
The goddess of X and Naija Bad
Girl as she is fondly called by
her fans isn't afraid to go
nude as she's constantly
releasing nude photos of herself
online and sexually explicit videos.
Showtime Celebrity visited her
studio in Dolphin Estate, Lagos,
where she opens up on her sex
life and more…
What have you been up to in recent times?
I've been bad, I've been naughty… You've seen
Naija Bad Girl video and Lasgidi Chick. Now, I'm
trying to see if I can drop one single before the end of
the year. But I'm not sure that will be possible
because I'm shooting the video in November. So, It
could be next year.
What is the inspiration behind your "Naija Bad Girl"
song?
I had this vision of what's happening right now. Like
I'm very bad, like I'm the baddest girl in Nigeria
which is not true. So, my vision is actually to see my
posters in people's bedrooms and stuff like that. I
want to be that sex symbol one can imagine of.
Why do you want to be a Sex symbol?
Because it works abroad. It could work here too. I had
my challenges. They are still there but there's no
stopping me because I know that for anything new
you have to fight for it
But why are you leveraging on being a sex symbol?
Because sex sells. I want to make money and also, I
want to make my name. It's the only space in the
Nigerian music industry that is just there, everybody is
scared to tread on such a path, so I'm daring it.
You came back from Holland recently. What were you
doing there?
I went to Holland because of my daughter. She's
about to enter High School and I don't want her to go
to school over there. My husband taught me a lot. He
opened my mind to see a lot of things in different
ways, so, I said alright foreign education would be
very nice for my daughter. I actually sacrificed staying in Nigeria for my daughter.
What really made you start putting those videos
online?
To attract attention. I knew it's going to draw the
desired attention to me. So, that's why I did it and
like I said, sex sells and that's just one of the ways
to show it off.
What message are you trying to convey with your
nude pictures and videos?
I don't know if I'm trying to convey any message
or I'm just doing my business. I think I'm just
entertaining my fans. Sometimes, you add your
personal life and culture and stuff like that to it. But for
me, its business right now.
Do you make money from it?
Right now, Yes. I have this Australian tour coming up
and they have already paid me. I'm not going to tell
you how much but imagine going online to buy tickets.
So, you know how much already I've been paid.
What does sex mean to you?
It's like food, it's like shower. I'm trying to say
it's natural, it comes naturally. Your body would
request for it. Sometimes my body would request for
it like 4 times a day, maybe 5, maybe once but
anytime sha, we go do am well.
Like how much do you get paid for your sex stuff?
I also do modeling in Holland. If you change the
money it would run into millions of naira.
How about guys who want to get down with you and
pay you for sex?
I don't do that. I do Modeling and Entertainment also,
strictly business. Some people just want you to be a
waiter and they want you to look sexy, that also goes.
Have you ever been approached by someone who is
willing to pay to have sex with you?
Yes, a lot of them all over the world. But I turn them
down because of my husband.
But your husband won't know about such game?
My husband is a very nice guy and I think I owe him
that, at least. I've done a lot that not all guys can
really tolerate. I owe him that respect.
Do you believe prostitution should be legalized?
Yes, because I've been there. I've been with these
girls and I know what they are going through and
I've been to Holland where I think prostitution is
legalised. I see the way they handle it. It won't be
bad here because it's everywhere anyway and
they're not stopping it, so why not just legalise it and let's just know its happening. I mean it's
everywhere.
As a woman, what turns you on sexually?
Appearance, a little bit rugged and strong presence.
Also, character is part of it. He has to have a good
heart.
Is it a must for you to have sex every day?
Yes, it's a must. It's necessary… If it doesn't
happen, that means I'm travelling or something like
that.
Let's assume your husband is not in Nigeria?
I'll masturbate. I will use my sex toys to satisfy
myself.
Would you compare it to the real thing?
Not at all, it's impossible. You can't even compare
wearing condom with the real thing but it's
necessary.
What's your view of religion?
For me, if it's not love, if you don't speak with love
then forget it. I don't want to be a part of it. It has to
be love. If you want to kill me because of religion then
I don't think you have love inside. May be, it's
wrong but that's my belief and I believe people
should respect other people's beliefs.
Has your daughter watched your nude videos?
Yes.
What's her reaction?
She's proud of me because the way you train your
children here is different from the way children are
trained abroad. In abroad, you have people doing
soap adverts and they're completely naked. They
just hide what I was hiding also and it's normal.
What if she decides to do what you're doing?
Right now, she's under my care. I won't allow her
but when she's up to 18 and she might say
"mommy, I saw what you did and I want to do the
same." I'll say it's your choice. People have to
make their choices. I mean my mom wasn't a nudist
or whatever, she was a very nice woman but look at me today. I'm not saying I'm not nice but I'm
trying to say she didn't go showing off all her body
everywhere. Nobody even knew her but look at me. I
mean pastors' children also end up in club so you
can't really say because of what mommy is doing,
that means the daughter would do the same. I don't believe that.

Why Women Don't Want Sex
After my two-part article on why women have sex, I
received several messages from readers who were
interested in knowing quite the opposite, why women
don't want to have sex.One guy said if it was true
that women have sex for all the reasons mentioned,
then, they have enough reasons to have sex almost every day. Another wanted to know why once
married, most women lose interest in sex and all they
do is find excuses for their lack of interest. He went on
to postulate that if women gave enough sex to their
husbands, then they would be less tempted to cheat
on them. I told him I did not totally agree with that position. How does one determine the quantity of sex
that a partner needs to be satisfied? Having sex with a
partner every time it is demanded does not mean that
the sex is satisfactory or that it will hold him down.
Even the most beautiful vaginas have been cheated
on and it is hardly all of the time that sex is the reason for cheating. besides, lack of interest in sex is not
limited to the female partner alone. Like it or not, men
also do lose interest in sex with their partners and are
partly responsible for their women's lack of interest
in sex sometimes too. I thought we could run through
some of the reasons women often do not want sex; from the commonly given reasons to less talked about
emotional and psychological inhibitors.
*Always, communication tops my list in all
relationships. If the communication is good, the two
way channels are open and fluid, there is trust and
honesty on both sides, the first hurdle has already
been conquered. Lack of adequate and meaningful
communication is a key problem in relationships and it affects both partners. Often times, couples can't
honestly discuss their sexual preferences. A number
of men force theirs on their women, while the women
find it difficult to turn them down or insist on how they
want the sex performed. Another common error on
the part of women is that they assume that their man must figure out how to provide good sex that they will
enjoy without them having to spell things out. We
forget that guys are human and lack the powers to
read minds.
*Medical and psychological issues may often result in
loss of sexual desires. In a study carried out by Dr.
Edward Laumann of the Medical Centre, University of
Chicago which are published in the New England
Journal of Medicine, 47 percent of women suffer
sexual dysfunction compared to 31 percent of men. Also, 43 percent women reported low libido, 34
percent were unable to reach orgasm and 39 percent
had vagina dryness problems. Some of the reasons
listed for these include medical conditions such as
diabetes, thyroid disease, anaemia, hormonal
disorder, pregnancy and childbirth, menopause, hysterectomy, Vaginal disorder such as Vaginismus
or Biathlon's cysts, lack of sensation due to
decrease muscle tone in the vagina, aging, obesity, or
medical problems that affect the sex hormones,
(estrogen and testosterone) among others. Emotional,
physical or psychological issues such as low self esteem, bad body image, stressful lifestyle,
depression, anxiety and sexual abuse.
Female sexual dysfunction according to Cindy Meston,
a Psychology Professor from the University of Texas,
is characterised by a lack of desire, libido and orgasm
and it affects about one-third of women at some point
in their lives. Still wondering why some women often
don't want sex?
*The psychological composition of the two sexes are
quite different. Women are more emotionally involved
in sex while it is more physical for men. While men
think about the places to have sex, women think more
about the reasons to have sex. Sometimes, if a
woman is not convinced of the need to have sex, she is likely to turn a guy down. God or bad, some women
think of sex as a reward versus punishment process.
If the guy has been good to them, then he deserves a
treat, otherwise, he can stew for a while to get his
priorities right.
*This next one might seem over flogged but it is true
nonetheless. The daily routine of life may sometimes
be so overwhelming that sex is removed off the front
burner of important issues of life.
After all, who has ever paid for goods and services
with sex all the time? Even a prostitute has to part with money at some point if she wants to get things
done. Pressure from work, taking care of the children
and the house, financial issues and juggling to make
ends meet, family and in-law pressure all can take its
toll on anyone, this time guys inclusive. God forbid if
there are special challenges involved, eg, a special need child, loss of job or a medical challenge. Pressure
and stress from these situation often override the
need for sex, which is often seen as a pleasure ride by
women rather than a need.
*Sexual incompatibility is another problem. This could
mean that one partner desires or need to have sex
more often than the other, or one does not have need
for it at all. yes, there are people who are asexual and
have no interest in sexual activities. It is obvious that
sexually incompatible partners will have problems in their relationship. Sometimes, a loss of affection might
be a reason. A sexual relationship must be full of
intimacy. There must be regular touching, hugging,
kissing, endearments, gifts, (they don't have to be
expensive) dates, (even after marriage). Often times,
couple simply settle into a routine after getting married. For some men, the reason could be that once
the courtship period is over, it is time to settle into real
life situation of home and family building, the monkey
business is over. so, they no longer create time and
attention to do all those things they did to woo their
spouses in the first place. Women also have been known to become complacent with their men,
believing that with the ring now on their finger, the
man is theirs and have nowhere to go. The premarital
sex and over flowing show of affection and love was
to hook him to them or negotiate a ring on their
fingers.
Though sex might not actually be the most important
part of marriage, it is the oil that lubricates the wheel
that moves a relationship and so, its importance
cannot be undermined.
Sex may not become a problem until one of the
partners begin to complain about it.
received several messages from readers who were
interested in knowing quite the opposite, why women
don't want to have sex.One guy said if it was true
that women have sex for all the reasons mentioned,
then, they have enough reasons to have sex almost every day.

Obasanjo's Desire For Change Unites Us -APC
The All Progressives Congress has said former
President Olusegun Obasanjo, was sympathetic to the
cause of the party because of his desire for positive
change in 2015. Deputy National Chairman (North) of
the All Progressives Congress, Senator Lawal Shuaibu
said this in an interview with reporters in Abuja, on Sunday. He noted that the former President who is
still an active member of the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party, was like most Nigerians; desirous
of an end to maladministration and impunity.
According to him, while it was true that Obasanjo is
not a card carrying member of the APC, his interest in bringing about a change in the way things are done is
glaring. Shuaibu said, "We don't have any connection with
Obasanjo other than Obasanjo sympathising with
anybody that could effect change in this country.
"He is not a member of our party mind you, he is
still a PDP man but for the fact that he is a former
democratic President in this country people listen to him. "More often than not, some people go to seek
for his advice both from PDP, APC and other parties.
But he is interested in the type of change we are
driving at, so he is to a certain extent sympathetic
with the APC." He noted that there was nothing wrong with the APC
receiving members of the PDP who have come to
realise their mistakes. The APC chieftain said the
party has put in place a machinery to ensure strict
adherence to its policies and programmes as
contained in its manifesto. He explained that parties which came together to form the APC have all agreed
to adhere strictly to the code of conduct as well as
ethics enshrined in the founding principles of the new
party. Shuaibu also assured Nigerians that the APC
will strictly observe the provisions of its constitution
and the party manifesto as well as ensure the supremacy of the party. Reacting to the over N21
billion raised by PDP to fund President Jonathan's
re-election, Shuaibu said his party was not worried.
He, however, said that of the APC will be transparent
and made public in a manner consistent with its
avowed commitment to transparency.

Gunmen Kill 10 Villagers In Fresh Kaduna Invasion
No fewer than 10 persons were on Saturday night
killed by gunmen at the Tattaura village in Sanga
Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Tattaura is a community in Ancha District of Ninzo
Chiefdom in the southern part of the state. The village
is about two kilometres East of Gwantu, the local
government headquarters. During the raid, which started at about 10pm on
Saturday night, according to an eyewitness, five
other persons were said to have sustained fatal
injuries and were rushed to Akwanga General
Hospital in Nasarawa State, where they were said to
be receiving treatment. It was gathered that the community usually
organised dances among children, youths and the
aged during the Yuletide in the area. The Acting Chairman of the council, Alhaji Nasiru
Harande, described the incident as "unfortunate." He said the attacker "came, shot and fled" to an
unknown destination. Harande said normalcy had returned to the
community, but added, "10 people were killed while
the five injured persons are receiving treatment in a
general hospital in Akwanga." Mike Sanga, a community leader from the area, said
the attack took place in a shop, where some men
were relaxing after a hectic dance. He said, "Our community is about three kilometres
to Nandu–Ankpong, where 19 people were killed in
June, this year. We identified the people killed to be
Joel Ambo, a primary school teacher, Yakubu Ambi,
Yamu Idzi, Anche Ishaku and Misalai Ngbo. Others are Ishaya Anche, Monday Samson, Joel
Anzah, Jonathan Anche and one, P-Square, a visitor
from Randa community.

DHQ Rejects APC's Incitement Of Soldiers Who Refused To Fight Boko Haram
Director of Defence Information (DDI) Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade
Says action against personnel backed by military law Opposition party pushes back on Amaechi's statement Senator Iroegbu and Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja In a strongly-worded direct response to a recent statement by the Director-General of Buhari Campaign
Organisation, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, backing soldiers who refused to fight Boko Haram, which the military considered as mutiny, the DHQ on Friday warned politicians, especially those campaigning for the 2015 general elections against meddling in purely administrative, operational and tactical decisions of the services "that could undermine the country's security system." This is coming as Amaechi's party, the All Progressives Congress pushed back on an earlier statement by the Buhari Campaign Organisation, saying the Rivers State governor did not encourage mutiny but merely said the military personnel could always assert their right to good welfare packages even as they engage in the defence of the nation's territorial boundaries. The Director of Defence Information (DDI) Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade, gave this stern caution to politicians in a press statement, urging them to be careful in their utterances in relation to the recent General Court-Martial where several soldiers were condemned to death. Olukolade said that in view of the series of insinuations, allegations and false claims being made by certain activists and politicians on the legal and disciplinary process in the Nigerian military, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) finds it necessary to call on politicians to avoid using the forum or medium of their political campaigns to incite or endorse acts of indiscipline in the nation's military establishments. According to him, this call has become necessary as the trend got to another level on Tuesday when a prominent politician declared that "The soldiers have the right to protest against Federal Government's failure to fully equip them". Amaechi, while speaking recently on the outcome of the military court-martial, said that the soldiers were entitled to protest. "It was expected that the fellow quoted or his party would have made immediate moves to correct this fallacy or erroneous impression being propagated especially in view of the level of knowledge of his principal and candidate in forthcoming elections", the DDI said. Unfortunately, Olukolade noted, no such gesture seem to be forthcoming.
He emphasized: "There is therefore the need to caution against the propagation of this dangerous idea before it causes more problems. "For the avoidance of any doubt, the military institution rejects this declaration and its intention in all ramifications. The military law as recognized by the Constitution of the Federation is an appropriate legal document for the management of affairs of the military. "The processes it outlines for handling military offences remain legal and will continue to be applied in the interest of the nation's security and democracy." The Defence Spokesman stressed that individuals and interest groups seeking to play to the gallery by being meddlesome, sensational or mischievous in interpreting developments in the military are advised to moderate their activities with some decorum. It is clear, Olukolade stated, that the false accusations that depended on unsubstantiated allegations being peddled on the military operations in Nigeria are intended to tarnish the reputation of Nigerian military and its leadership. He further warned: "The campaign apparently aimed at undermining constituted authority in the military must not be encouraged. It is obvious that most of the
comments and sensational stories in the media have been oblivious of the fact that the processes are still ongoing and yet to be concluded." The DDI clarified that "the war on terror is not all about equipment but mindset of both the military and the public, adding that "inciting remarks can only compound the situation for all involved". He assured that the military was resolved to prosecute the counter terrorism campaign with all sense of commitment by the rank and file. Olukolade remarked that the tendency to suggest or encourage dissention in the system would not yield any advantage to any well-meaning Nigerian. "Politicians are therefore requested to guide their utterances as the military remains a veritable institution of the state. Those who seek to undermine or destroy it should be prevailed upon to stop the mission considering the fact that the institution remains indispensable to government and its process under any dispensation. "The Nigerian military reiterates its commitment to defending the nation's democracy. Individuals and personalities are enjoined to refrain from pronouncement and attitude that seek to undermine the established justice/disciplinary procedures and processes of the military system," he said. According to Olukolade, this counsel is very vital to the excellent civil-military relations which is crucial to the nation's development.
He insisted that "incitement to protests or mutiny in the military is an ill wind that will ultimately blow no good to anyone." Olukolade continued: "The military authorities should not be blackmailed with a view to forestalling the exercise of due command and control over the system as established by law in the interest of the nation. "The Nigerian military has resolved not to yield to whims and caprices of those seeking to undermine its system purely for populist or political ends." APC Pushes Back on protests…
The APC has said it is fully in support of the recent call by Amaechi for the military to always assert their right to good welfare packages even as they engage in the defence of the nation's territory. Speaking in an interview with THISDAY on telephone, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, however appeared to have modified what Amaechi said, stating that though the party does not support disobedience to military rules, the APC saw nothing wrong in Amaechi's position that soldiers should fight for their rights. "Amaechi did not say Soldiers should protest. What he said was that they should improve the welfare of the soldiers and soldiers have a right to welfare and proper treatment while on national assignment. "We are fully in support of the view that soldiers' welfare must be improved but that does not mean that they will not respect the regulations governing the military institution. "You see, when you enlist in the military, you are governed by the Act establishing the military and military laws. So, that is a completely different thing. But for us as Nigerians, we believe that the federal government must keep its own side of the bargain so that they don't send soldiers to the war front without ammunition and equipment. "This is the position of my party that as much as soldiers must abide by the dictates of the military Act,
the nation also owes them the duty to properly equip them and take care of their welfare," he said. Meanwhile, APC has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to show leadership by example "instead of engaging in mere rhetoric." In a statement issued by Mohammed, the party said Jonathan's exhortations at a Christmas service in Abuja on Thursday would have carried weight if the President had acted in such a way that his compatriots would not doubt his sincerity. It wondered how the President could admonish others to avoid sowing the seeds of discord and hatred through their utterances "when that is exactly the stock in trade of his political associates, supporters and spokespersons."

Boko Haram Abducts 592 In 2014
At least 592 were kidnapped by the Islamic fundamentalist group, Boko Haram in 2014. They were mostly girls, boys and women. Among them were the 276 schoolgirls abducted from the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State by the sect on April 14. The abduction, which was the first of nine reported kidnappings by Boko Haram this year, drew international outrage. Majority of the kidnappings were recorded in Borno State, with the wife of Cameroonian Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, abducted and at least three other people killed in an attack on Ali's home in Kolofata northern Cameroon. Boko Haram, on May 5, abducted 11 more girls in Warabe and Wala communities in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno, killing about 300 people in Gamboru Ngala, a border town with Cameroon. Similarly in June, suspected Boko Haram insurgents abducted about 20 women and three men near Chibok. Later that month, the insurgents reportedly kidnapped more than 60 women and young girls, as well as 31 boys. Another attack on August 10 saw the insurgents forcefully conscripting 100 boys and young men in Doron Baga, a village in Borno State. On October 23, a fresh set of 40 girls were reportedly abducted by the sect in Borno. In another attack few days later, insurgents killed 17 and abducted 30 boys and girls in Maffa Local Government Area, Borno. The latest of the abductions came early this month, when suspected Boko Haram members abducted over 20 girls in Lassa. The Human Rights Watch had identified widespread poverty, corruption, security force abuses and longstanding impunity for a range of crimes as creating the enabling environment for militant armed groups such as Boko Haram to thrive. Despite President Goodluck Jonathan's declaration of a state of emergency in the north-eastern states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe — the worst-hit in the country — in May 2013, the pace of attacks by the sect had intensified. In a report published October 4, 2014, entitled 'Those Terrible Weeks in Their Camp: Boko Haram Violence against Women and Girls in North-East Nigeria,' the HRW said over 500 women and children had been abducted since 2009.
Cossy Orjiakor Opens Up On Why She Puts Her Boobs On Display
The sexy actress, who went to the event bra less, told
Matinee why she chose not to wear bra to the event.
Hear her, "Actually, a friend of mine and her
husband invited me to the event and I decided to go
with one of my craziest costumes which I have not

The top has a very tiny hock in the chest and if I
should wear bra, my bra will be exposed. So, I
decided to show my boobs instead of my bra. I think
people would prefer to see the boobs instead of bra.
You, which one will you prefer to see?" she asked
our reporter.
"The funny thing is that, the very first time I stepped
out bra less, I got pips freaking out. Everybody

100 Boko Haram Fighters Killed, 200 Arrested By Cameroon Army
Cameroon military forces have defeated Boko Haram
fighters, in another encounter, north of the country,
the Chinese news agency, Xinhua has reported. More than 100 suspected Nigerian Boko Haram
militants were killed and over 200 arrested during an

Stop Killing Boko Haram Members – Buhari Tells FG
Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the
Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major
General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal
Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram
insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never
killed or properties belonging to them destroyed. Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio
programme, Guest of the Week monitored said
accused the government of killing and destroying
houses belonging to Boko Haram members while
the Niger Delta militants get special treatment. The former dictator said that unlike the special
treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the
federal government, the Boko Haram members
were being killed and their houses demolished by
government. While accusing President Jonathan of failing from
the beginning to address the security situation in
the country, Buhari said he has never been in
support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe
and Adamawa state. According to Buhari "what is responsible for the
security situation in the country is caused by the
activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian
that is familiar with what is happening knows this.
The Niger Delta militants started it all. "What happened is that the governors of the Niger
Delta region at that time wanted to win their
elections. So they recruited the youths and gave
them guns and bullets and used them against their
opponents to win elections by force. "After the elections were over, they asked the
boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return
the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was
being given to the youths by the governors during
that time was stopped. "The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers
and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy
of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a
week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years
to study and then come back and get employed by
government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment. "So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the
South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped
people and were collecting money. "How did Boko Haram start? We know that their
leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and
the police couldn't control them and the army
was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and
handed over to the police. "The appropriate thing to do, according to the law,
was for the police to carry out investigations and
charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed
him, his in-law was killed, they went and
demolished their houses. "Because of that, his supporters resorted to what
they are doing today. You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the
late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua sent an
aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them
and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and
they were given money and granted amnesty. "They were trained in some skills and were given
employment, but the ones in the north were being
killed and their houses were being demolished. They are different issues, what brought this? It is
injustice". While fielding questions in English in the same
programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the
All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the
challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the
party registered, saying "the road to merger is
quite rough. "The ruling party, with its enormous resources
and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat
and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise
since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way
to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is
for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly
come together to deliver their constituencies
democratically. This is the only way you can counter PDP's
enormous physical and material influence in the
country" He expressed optimism that the All Progressive
Congress will be registered saying "by nature, I
am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not
attempt to contest the presidency three times and
end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe
we are going to be registered. "There is a law guiding party registration which
states that you must have your headquarters in the
nation's capital that can be identified by INEC and
you must have a convention. All the three parties
involved have held their conventions and have
agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC. "At the national level, we must have those who
will run the party. As soon as we meet these
criteria and INEC acknowledge that, 30 days after
the acknowledgement, we are APC whether INEC
write us and give us the registration or not".

Sanusi Lamido, His CBN Mistress Sexual Escapades Exposed
Twenty minutes to midnight on February 25, 2013,
and a day before the board of the Central Bank of
Nigeria was due to meet, Governor Sanusi Lamido
Sanusi developed a craving for romance—he badly
needed a kiss. The governor, married, with children, grabbed his
mobile phone and typed out a message. "Maybe
you should come kiss me before board meeting
tomorrow," Mr. Sanusi wrote and then squeezed
the send button. At about 9 a.m. the next day, Mrs. Maryam Yaro, a
married mother of two, an assistant director and
subordinate to the governor at the CBN, arrived
Sanusi's unnamed Abuja hotel, seeking to keep
the date and help address her boss' craving for a
kiss. (Insiders say board members, including those who live in Abuja, are usually lodged in hotels
ahead of board meetings). But by the time Mrs. Yaro left the hotel to return to
her official desk at the CBN, the duo had also struck
out an arrangement to spend the rest of the week
together in Lagos. So, in the evening of Wednesday February 27, Mrs.
Yaro flew to Lagos ahead of Mr. Sanusi and checked
into a hotel in the city, skipping work, at
taxpayers' expense, on Thursday February 28
and Friday, March 1. To keep faith with Mrs. Yaro's date, the CBN
governor arrived Lagos, travelling on a chartered
flight, on the night of February 28, and checked into
the Federal Palace Hotel, passage and boarding all
at taxpayers' expense. Both Mr. Sanusi and Mrs. Yaro rendezvoused in the
hotel till Sunday when both of them returned to
Abuja, PREMIUM TIMES learnt. "…I had such a wonderful weekend," Mrs. Yaro
confessed to the governor while aboard her Abuja-
bound flight. "You have revived in me what I
thought I lost long ago. I thought I lost the passion
to love again," she claimed. "Alhamdulillahi. Love you," Mr. Sanusi responded
in a measured tone. Insiders say repeated violation of the statutory
code of conduct for public office holders such as
hiring his girlfriends and mistresses without
complying with public service rules, dating married
and unmarried women within the bank, and flirting
with them during official work hours have become defining characters of Mr. Sanusi's governorship
of the central bank. An official of the bank spoke of how Mr. Sanusi had
enthroned nepotism at the bank, arbitrarily hiring
girlfriends and relatives and engaging in
extramarital relationships with staff. "This man (the CBN governor) is the most morally
bankrupt governor the CBN has ever had," the
official, who did not want to be named for fear of
retribution, told PREMIUM TIMES. "Forget all the
pretences, he is a shameless man of loose
character." Investigations by this newspaper revealed that Mr.
Lamido hired his latest mistress, Mrs. Yaro, without
complying with the CBN recruitment policy that
stressed, "all appointments shall be made on the
basis of merit, through a fair and open selection
process." "The principles underlying the recruitment
process are those of fairness, credibility, equal
employment opportunities, merit and optimization
of career prospects for currently employed staff,"
the bank said on its website. But Mrs. Yaro, insiders say, was hired in July 2012
without adherence to these principles. Those who
should know say Mrs. Yaro, who was a staff at the
National Programme on Food Security, an agency
under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, was
brought into the bank as assistant director without "advert for the vacancy and after a kangaroo
interview." When contacted, Mr. Sanusi said due process was
followed in hiring Mrs. Yaro. He said having worked for years in the ministry of
agric, Mrs. Yaro came highly recommended and
qualified for the job for which she was hired. The CBN governor continued, "I have known Dr.
Yaro since 1981. She was my student in Yola and
she later came to ABU Zaria. We have been very
good friends but this is not why NIRSAL took her.
You may wish to check her CV against all the other
CVs in NIRSAL. And she did go through an interview process with the NIRSAL CEO making the decision
not CBN HR. "As for the personal allegations, this is all strange
to me but I have a personal policy of not responding
to such allegations since in Nigeria anything can be
published on any public officer without proof. I
have limited myself to what concerns official
allegations and leave you to your God and your conscience on whatever else you want to
publish. Thank you for telling me though." Mrs. Yaro however declined comments when
contacted by PREMIUM TIMES. "Be careful what you are saying," she told one of
our reporters on the telephone. "I have nothing to
comment to you on anything." When asked if she would be willing to respond to
specific questions about her trips to Lagos to keep
dates with Mr. Sanusi, she simply said, "Whatever
it is, I don't know. Will you just let me be?" But our investigations revealed that the
governor's claim was far from accurate. Through
several interviews and review of records, PREMIUM
TIMES was able to determine that Mrs. Yaro and Mr.
Sanusi had dated each other for at least six months
before she was hired. Insiders say Mr. Sanusi repeatedly pestered the
human resource department of the bank ordering it
to bring Mrs. Yaro's application to him for
approval. And once the file reached his table, the
governor wasted no time in treating it. On June 25, 2012, Mr. Sanusi, who was travelling in
South Africa at the time, telephoned Mrs. Yaro to
break the news to her that he had approved her
recruitment in what critics consider a clear conflict
of interest and a violation of a provision of
Nigeria's Code of Conduct which stipulates that "a public officer shall not put himself in a position
where his interest conflicts with his duties and
responsibilities." Mrs. Yaro, (whose businessman husband, Ahmed, is
largely based in Kaduna but visits Abuja regularly)
assumed duties at the CBN in the first week of
September 2012 and was deployed to the
Development Finance Department. The department then put her in charge of the
bank's Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing
System For Agricultural Lending, (NIRSAL), a unit
that attempts to fix the agricultural value chain, so
that banks can lend with confidence to the sector
and, encourages banks to lend to the agricultural value chain by offering them strong incentives and
technical assistance. Sources said Mrs. Yaro married Ahmed (or Shuaib,
according to another source) six years ago after
her first husband, Waisu Yaro Bodinga (then an
executive director at the Nigeria Ports Authority)
died in the ill-fated ADC plane crash of 2006. The romance between Mrs. Yaro and Mr. Sanusi
became even hotter after she began work at the
bank, with the two lovers regularly exchanging
telephone calls and text messages during work
hours to profess love for each other. At times, Mrs. Yaro would remain in her office far
beyond close of work to enable her to keep
appointments with the CBN governor, records
show. Sometimes, Mrs. Yaro would raise concerns about
Mr. Sanusi's other girlfriends and mistresses (such
as Sutura and Rose) and how they were blocking
her from getting the governor's full attention, but
the relationship continued nonetheless. Mrs. Yaro also began to have access to confidential
information known only to top management and
board of the bank, insiders say. At a point, one source said, she began to strategise
to corner contracts for one Goke Akinboro, the Chief
Executive Officer of Lagos-based Cellullant Limited,
an information technology company. Mr. Akinboro
is also described as "very close" to Mrs. Yaro. On March 15, 2013, the CBN lovers headed to Lagos
again for another weekend of fun. The initial plan
was for the duo to fly to the nation's commercial
capital on Saturday, March 16, returning to Abuja on
Sunday. But the trip had to be brought forward by a
day after the lovers realized that the Area Council election in Abuja was holding that Saturday and
that movement might be restricted. Mrs. Yaro arrived Lagos on the night of March 15,
and immediately checked into the Radisson Blu
Anchorage Hotel on Victoria Island. Mr. Sanusi flew
from Kano to Lagos via chartered jet on the bills of
the Nigerian taxpayers. He arrived at about 11 p.m.,
stopped by his Ikoyi home, before dashing to the hotel where Mrs. Yaro was waiting in a seductive
dress in Room 23. The lovers spent that night and
the next day together in the hotel. As he flew into Abuja March 17 on a chartered jet,
Mr. Sanusi sent a message to Mrs. Yaro saying,
"Love. Just landed in Abuja. Thank you for a
wonderful weekend." Mrs. Yaro replied,
"Alhamdulillah. I had a wonderful weekend too. I
am able to get the 3:15 flight on Arik Air. Love you." But in-between those rendezvous in Lagos, Mr.
Sanusi and Mrs Yaro also found time to get together
elsewhere. They were to meet on March 11, 2013,
in Makurdi but somehow Mrs. Yaro could not make
it to the Benue State capital. But earlier on February
14, (Valentine's Day), the lovers had a good time together in Maiduguri. Although, the two of them
travelled to the city on different missions, they
somehow found a way to get together. At a point, Mrs. Yaro voiced open frustration when
Mr. Lamido delayed in taking her calls as she tried,
frantically, to track him down. "I'm thinking that
one Shuwa girl has snatched you away from me,"
Mrs. Yaro wrote in a message. "I don't trust
them (Maiduguri girls) with you." A velvet-ranking figure within Nigeria's economic
and political circles, Mr. Sanusi, is generally
perceived as one of the intellectual anchors and
moral conscience of this administration. When his
five-year term expires next year, he has indicated
he would not renew his contract. Mr. Sanusi has a well-advertised ambition to become the future emir
of his native Kano, where he is already a top
chieftaincy holder (Dan Maje Kano). Dan Majen
Kano, a historic title, which means Son of Emir-Maje,
is reserved for the royal family members from the
Kano Habe dynasty. A zigzag prospect to run for the Nigerian
presidency is also believed to be floating in the
horizon for Mr. Sanusi. Multiple sources at both the CBN and First Bank,
where Mr. Sanusi was managing director before his
appointment to the central bank, describe the
governor as an "incurable womanizer." "This guy seems unable to resist anything in skirt,
and it is unfortunate that a lot of young people look
up to him as an example," one of Mr. Sanusi's
aides in Abuja said, expressing widely held
concerns in banking circles that "It is sad that he
wouldn't even let married women be." Mr. Sanusi, 51, appointed CBN Governor on June 3
2009, is a smart economist and award-winning
banker with a background in risk management. He holds a graduate degree in economics from the
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a diploma in
Sharia and Islamic Studies from the African
International University in Khartoum, Sudan. Today,
Mr. Sanusi is also commonly regarded as an
important voice in Islamic jurisprudence. The Banker, the UK-based financial magazine
honoured him in 2010 as global Central Bank
Governor of the Year as well as African Central
Bank Governor of the Year. In 2011, the TIME
magazine listed Mr. Sanusi in its annual publication
of 100 most influential people. At the African Banker Awards gala dinner held
Wednesday in Morocco, Mr. Sanusi also emerged
the "2013 Africa Central Bank Governor of the
Year." "There is no doubt that he is a fairly effective
banker," an official of one of Nigeria's leading
banks, who requested anonymity for fear his bank
might be targeted, told PREMIUM TIMES. "But he is a
man of zero morality despite his public posturing. It
is really sad."
and a day before the board of the Central Bank of
Nigeria was due to meet, Governor Sanusi Lamido
Sanusi developed a craving for romance—he badly
needed a kiss. The governor, married, with children, grabbed his
mobile phone and typed out a message. "Maybe
you should come kiss me before board meeting
tomorrow," Mr. Sanusi wrote and then squeezed
the send button. At about 9 a.m. the next day, Mrs. Maryam Yaro, a
married mother of two, an assistant director and
subordinate to the governor at the CBN, arrived
Sanusi's unnamed Abuja hotel, seeking to keep
the date and help address her boss' craving for a
kiss. (Insiders say board members, including those who live in Abuja, are usually lodged in hotels
ahead of board meetings). But by the time Mrs. Yaro left the hotel to return to
her official desk at the CBN, the duo had also struck
out an arrangement to spend the rest of the week
together in Lagos. So, in the evening of Wednesday February 27, Mrs.
Yaro flew to Lagos ahead of Mr. Sanusi and checked
into a hotel in the city, skipping work, at
taxpayers' expense, on Thursday February 28
and Friday, March 1. To keep faith with Mrs. Yaro's date, the CBN
governor arrived Lagos, travelling on a chartered
flight, on the night of February 28, and checked into
the Federal Palace Hotel, passage and boarding all
at taxpayers' expense. Both Mr. Sanusi and Mrs. Yaro rendezvoused in the
hotel till Sunday when both of them returned to
Abuja, PREMIUM TIMES learnt. "…I had such a wonderful weekend," Mrs. Yaro
confessed to the governor while aboard her Abuja-
bound flight. "You have revived in me what I
thought I lost long ago. I thought I lost the passion
to love again," she claimed. "Alhamdulillahi. Love you," Mr. Sanusi responded
in a measured tone. Insiders say repeated violation of the statutory
code of conduct for public office holders such as
hiring his girlfriends and mistresses without
complying with public service rules, dating married
and unmarried women within the bank, and flirting
with them during official work hours have become defining characters of Mr. Sanusi's governorship
of the central bank. An official of the bank spoke of how Mr. Sanusi had
enthroned nepotism at the bank, arbitrarily hiring
girlfriends and relatives and engaging in
extramarital relationships with staff. "This man (the CBN governor) is the most morally
bankrupt governor the CBN has ever had," the
official, who did not want to be named for fear of
retribution, told PREMIUM TIMES. "Forget all the
pretences, he is a shameless man of loose
character." Investigations by this newspaper revealed that Mr.
Lamido hired his latest mistress, Mrs. Yaro, without
complying with the CBN recruitment policy that
stressed, "all appointments shall be made on the
basis of merit, through a fair and open selection
process." "The principles underlying the recruitment
process are those of fairness, credibility, equal
employment opportunities, merit and optimization
of career prospects for currently employed staff,"
the bank said on its website. But Mrs. Yaro, insiders say, was hired in July 2012
without adherence to these principles. Those who
should know say Mrs. Yaro, who was a staff at the
National Programme on Food Security, an agency
under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, was
brought into the bank as assistant director without "advert for the vacancy and after a kangaroo
interview." When contacted, Mr. Sanusi said due process was
followed in hiring Mrs. Yaro. He said having worked for years in the ministry of
agric, Mrs. Yaro came highly recommended and
qualified for the job for which she was hired. The CBN governor continued, "I have known Dr.
Yaro since 1981. She was my student in Yola and
she later came to ABU Zaria. We have been very
good friends but this is not why NIRSAL took her.
You may wish to check her CV against all the other
CVs in NIRSAL. And she did go through an interview process with the NIRSAL CEO making the decision
not CBN HR. "As for the personal allegations, this is all strange
to me but I have a personal policy of not responding
to such allegations since in Nigeria anything can be
published on any public officer without proof. I
have limited myself to what concerns official
allegations and leave you to your God and your conscience on whatever else you want to
publish. Thank you for telling me though." Mrs. Yaro however declined comments when
contacted by PREMIUM TIMES. "Be careful what you are saying," she told one of
our reporters on the telephone. "I have nothing to
comment to you on anything." When asked if she would be willing to respond to
specific questions about her trips to Lagos to keep
dates with Mr. Sanusi, she simply said, "Whatever
it is, I don't know. Will you just let me be?" But our investigations revealed that the
governor's claim was far from accurate. Through
several interviews and review of records, PREMIUM
TIMES was able to determine that Mrs. Yaro and Mr.
Sanusi had dated each other for at least six months
before she was hired. Insiders say Mr. Sanusi repeatedly pestered the
human resource department of the bank ordering it
to bring Mrs. Yaro's application to him for
approval. And once the file reached his table, the
governor wasted no time in treating it. On June 25, 2012, Mr. Sanusi, who was travelling in
South Africa at the time, telephoned Mrs. Yaro to
break the news to her that he had approved her
recruitment in what critics consider a clear conflict
of interest and a violation of a provision of
Nigeria's Code of Conduct which stipulates that "a public officer shall not put himself in a position
where his interest conflicts with his duties and
responsibilities." Mrs. Yaro, (whose businessman husband, Ahmed, is
largely based in Kaduna but visits Abuja regularly)
assumed duties at the CBN in the first week of
September 2012 and was deployed to the
Development Finance Department. The department then put her in charge of the
bank's Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing
System For Agricultural Lending, (NIRSAL), a unit
that attempts to fix the agricultural value chain, so
that banks can lend with confidence to the sector
and, encourages banks to lend to the agricultural value chain by offering them strong incentives and
technical assistance. Sources said Mrs. Yaro married Ahmed (or Shuaib,
according to another source) six years ago after
her first husband, Waisu Yaro Bodinga (then an
executive director at the Nigeria Ports Authority)
died in the ill-fated ADC plane crash of 2006. The romance between Mrs. Yaro and Mr. Sanusi
became even hotter after she began work at the
bank, with the two lovers regularly exchanging
telephone calls and text messages during work
hours to profess love for each other. At times, Mrs. Yaro would remain in her office far
beyond close of work to enable her to keep
appointments with the CBN governor, records
show. Sometimes, Mrs. Yaro would raise concerns about
Mr. Sanusi's other girlfriends and mistresses (such
as Sutura and Rose) and how they were blocking
her from getting the governor's full attention, but
the relationship continued nonetheless. Mrs. Yaro also began to have access to confidential
information known only to top management and
board of the bank, insiders say. At a point, one source said, she began to strategise
to corner contracts for one Goke Akinboro, the Chief
Executive Officer of Lagos-based Cellullant Limited,
an information technology company. Mr. Akinboro
is also described as "very close" to Mrs. Yaro. On March 15, 2013, the CBN lovers headed to Lagos
again for another weekend of fun. The initial plan
was for the duo to fly to the nation's commercial
capital on Saturday, March 16, returning to Abuja on
Sunday. But the trip had to be brought forward by a
day after the lovers realized that the Area Council election in Abuja was holding that Saturday and
that movement might be restricted. Mrs. Yaro arrived Lagos on the night of March 15,
and immediately checked into the Radisson Blu
Anchorage Hotel on Victoria Island. Mr. Sanusi flew
from Kano to Lagos via chartered jet on the bills of
the Nigerian taxpayers. He arrived at about 11 p.m.,
stopped by his Ikoyi home, before dashing to the hotel where Mrs. Yaro was waiting in a seductive
dress in Room 23. The lovers spent that night and
the next day together in the hotel. As he flew into Abuja March 17 on a chartered jet,
Mr. Sanusi sent a message to Mrs. Yaro saying,
"Love. Just landed in Abuja. Thank you for a
wonderful weekend." Mrs. Yaro replied,
"Alhamdulillah. I had a wonderful weekend too. I
am able to get the 3:15 flight on Arik Air. Love you." But in-between those rendezvous in Lagos, Mr.
Sanusi and Mrs Yaro also found time to get together
elsewhere. They were to meet on March 11, 2013,
in Makurdi but somehow Mrs. Yaro could not make
it to the Benue State capital. But earlier on February
14, (Valentine's Day), the lovers had a good time together in Maiduguri. Although, the two of them
travelled to the city on different missions, they
somehow found a way to get together. At a point, Mrs. Yaro voiced open frustration when
Mr. Lamido delayed in taking her calls as she tried,
frantically, to track him down. "I'm thinking that
one Shuwa girl has snatched you away from me,"
Mrs. Yaro wrote in a message. "I don't trust
them (Maiduguri girls) with you." A velvet-ranking figure within Nigeria's economic
and political circles, Mr. Sanusi, is generally
perceived as one of the intellectual anchors and
moral conscience of this administration. When his
five-year term expires next year, he has indicated
he would not renew his contract. Mr. Sanusi has a well-advertised ambition to become the future emir
of his native Kano, where he is already a top
chieftaincy holder (Dan Maje Kano). Dan Majen
Kano, a historic title, which means Son of Emir-Maje,
is reserved for the royal family members from the
Kano Habe dynasty. A zigzag prospect to run for the Nigerian
presidency is also believed to be floating in the
horizon for Mr. Sanusi. Multiple sources at both the CBN and First Bank,
where Mr. Sanusi was managing director before his
appointment to the central bank, describe the
governor as an "incurable womanizer." "This guy seems unable to resist anything in skirt,
and it is unfortunate that a lot of young people look
up to him as an example," one of Mr. Sanusi's
aides in Abuja said, expressing widely held
concerns in banking circles that "It is sad that he
